Seminar CARONTE – Assistance to the Family and/or Friends of Victims of Homicide
Lisbon, 21st and 22nd June
The homicide of someone to whom one is connected to by family or affectionate ties, is surely a highly traumatic event. The loss can cause intense suffering and significant changes in one’s personal, family and social life.
For the first time, the professionals from the judiciary, police and victim support will debate in a Seminar their experiences and share their knowledge on the assistance to the family and/or friends of victims of homicide.
On the first day of the event, relatives of victims of homicide will have the opportunity to share their experiences with the participants.

This seminar will be organized by APAV - Portuguese Association for Victim Support, following the activities of the Project CARONTE – Support to the Victims of Homicide, their Families and Friends. Promoted by APAV and co-financed by the European Commission, this Project is develop in partnership with the National Republican Guard (GNR), the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, the Judiciary Police (PJ), the Public Security Police (PSP), Victim Support Scotland and Weisser Ring Austria.
